Is there an application fee? No, there is no application fee.
How much is the rent? The rent is based on 30% of adjusted income. Income includes: Social Security, SSI, Private and/or Domestic or foreign pensions, wages, disability income, unemployment, interest from investments, dividends.
How long is the wait list? Approximately 18 months.
What type of housing is this? This is housing for the elderly and adults over 18 who need the features of an architecturally designed unit. This is not a nursing home or assisted.
Are meals provided? Meals are available for a nominal fee through the J.B. Goldberg Foundation. We serve meals 2 days a week which is prepared by a local cafeteria and delivered to the main lobby.

Can I bring my pet? Residents can bring either 1 cat or 1 dog that weighs 20 lbs. or less. Pet deposit is $300.00.
Can my adult son live with me? Unless your son is moving in with you to be your main caregiver, he cannot live here.
Is a bus stop nearby? Yes, the bus stop is at the corner of our property. As a service, we keep Metro tickets available for residents to buy. The Foundation also has some funding for taxi vouchers for a nominal fee.
Why is the application so long? The application consists of the forms required by the Department of Housing & Urban Development (HUD), and information about Goldberg B'nai B'rith Towers.
Are apartments furnished? No, any furniture you need is something you have to provide.
